Freshness Starts Here
Simple Food. Meant to Gather
Sweet, creamy and made for fall snacking. Our caramel apple dip mix turns into a rich, caramel-flavored dip that pairs perfectly with crisp apple slices, graham crackers, pretzels and more.
Easy to mix up at home and even easier to share - although we won’t judge if you keep the bowl for yourself.
Just mix, chill and serve.

Our Story
Rooted Here Since 1914
Ilar Homestead is more than a bakery. It’s a piece of our family story.
Our roots on this West Virginia homestead go back to 1914, and much of what we do today comes from the same simple idea that has carried families for generations: make good things, use what you have, and share it with the people around you.
What started with baking has grown into something much bigger. Along with our breads and old-fashioned sweets, you’ll find seasonal foods, mixes and seasonings, recipes from our kitchen, homestead goods, and a little bit of the history behind them.
I’m especially drawn to the foods and traditions of Appalachia—the recipes people remember from their mothers and grandmothers, the breads that once showed up on everyday tables, and the practical skills that are too good to lose.
Not everything here is old, and not everything is done exactly the way it was a hundred years ago. But there is a reason behind what we make and how we make it.
Made the old-fashioned way, on purpose.
A savory seasoning for everyday chicken dinners. Rub it on before roasting or grilling, or sprinkle it over chicken before it goes in the skillet. Simple, good flavor without any fuss.

The seasoning I reach for when burgers are on the menu. Mix it into ground beef before shaping the patties, or sprinkle it on while they cook. It’s just as good on meatloaf and home fries.
